Click on the link and listen to the radio station that I created at Carat NY as part of a brand campaign. The station was born from a TV show on BET; Master of the Mix. The TV show is a 10 week reality show in which 10 DJs battle it out to become the Master and walk away with 250K and a promo contract with Smirnoff.
The show airs on Nov 5th on BET and it’s completely owned, produced, and sponsored by Smirnoff. Fantastic idea. We had a bit of a problem though, all the mixes that are on the TV show are limited to what can legally be aired on a TV show - and that’s expensive! So we had a big consumer base asking us for the mixes, which we couldn’t provide. So this year - season 2 of the show - we have created a digital radio station with iheartradio that lives for 52 weeks a year, plays the mixes from the TV show, has interviews with DJs, has exclusive competitions (wanna win a session in the NY radio booth to take over the station?), and it’s completely owned by Smirnoff.
